Jacobite Steam Train 2023

The Jacobite train ride is regarded as one of the most beautiful train rides in the world, with iconic landscapes around every corner!

When you travel by train, it is all about the journey..
Travel back in time as you join the Jacobite train to picture perfect scenery of mountainside and lush green tree covered landscapes. A grand masterpiece of art from one moment to the next. And to top it all off – there is the most beautiful breath-taking surreal sight of all – the curve of the Glenfinnan Viaduct! As seen in the HP movies!

Start this day by joining the coach to travel up to Fort William and stop for lunch when you arrive there (lunch not included), then you will board the famous Jacobite Steam train which is the Hogwarts Express Styled Train used in The Harry Potter Films where you will experience a rail journey described as one of the great journeys of the world this trip takes you past a list of impressive extremes.

Starting near the highest mountain in Britain, Ben Nevis, it visits Britain’s most westerly mainland railway station, Arisaig; passes close by the deepest freshwater loch in Britain, Loch Morar and the shortest river in Britain, River Morar, finally arriving next to the deepest seawater loch in Europe, Loch Nevis!

• 12.50pm – Steam train departs Fort William
• 3.06pm – Steam Train arrives in to Mallaig
• 5pm – Steam train departs Mallaig
• 6.52pm – Steam Train arrives in to Fort William
• 7.15pm – Coach departs for return journey
• 10.00pm – Approx arrival back to Kilmarnock
• 10.20pm – Approx arrival back to Kilwinning
• 10.35pm – Approx arrival back in Ardrossan
