Looking for something truly Spooktacular this Halloween? Then look no further…
Explore the eerie side of Edinburgh with Thorne Travel Experience.
Our luxury coach will take you to Edinburgh where we will meet our Tour Guide at the Tree of the Dead, situated next to St Giles’ Cathedral on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile.
We’ll wander through the 18th century Niddry Street South Bridge Vaults (known as Damnation Alley) which were once famed for their illegal distilleries, brothels and gambling dens. The vaults provided a playground for murderers, thieves and body snatchers and were plagued with so much corruption, death and misery it’s no wonder that they are so paranormally active. Watch your back though, as the notorious Southbridge Entity which haunts these vaults is known to be aggressive.
It is then on to the famous Greyfriars Kirkyard, the resting place of Greyfriars Bobby and home to the Black Mausoleum which is the lair of the malevolent Mackenzie Poltergeist. We’ll also have an opportunity to visit the Covenanter’s Jail where our tour guide will tell you tales of death and disease which will make your blood run cold.
Finally, we’ll travel back in time to The Real Mary King’s Close which is hidden deep beneath the characteristic and lively Edinburgh Mile. You’ll come face-to-face with some of the former residents who will tell you what it was really like for the people who lived, worked and died on the Close.
Our Spooktacular Halloween Tour in Edinburgh is packed full of the weirdest stories, wickedest humour and the wildest history. Join us if you dare!
